Our Family

Children

The Isiaiah 54 family is a big family which changes constantly, when children move and new ones come in.

Damon

Born on the 2nd May 1998. He enjoys music, dance, Gym and watching movies.

He is Grade 11 and hoping to progress to Grade 11 next year. He has a good sense of humor and always up to something.

Adopted when he was 8 months old by Glynnis & Keith. Damon is the big brother in the family.

Carmen

Born on the 1st February 2002. She is the ballet dancer of the family. Loves spending time with her friends and chatting.

She wants to be a designer when she has finished school and is in Grade 8 hoping to progress to Grade 8 next year. Adopted at 7 weeks by Glynnis & Keith. Carmen is the Big Sister in the family.

Donovan

Born on the 4th December 2002. He is a rugby fanatic and plays for Harlequins Club. Enjoys watching sport with his dad. Donovan is in Grade 6 this year.

If you have a baby crying give it to Donny and he will sit for hours putting baby to sleep. A sensitive boy who loves to please. Adopted at 7 weeks by Glynnis & Keith.

Leon

Born on the 29th April 2005. Our Care Givers Adopted Son. He is also a rugby player and plays for Harlequins Club. His nick name is Leon Schuster, because of his amazing sense of humor.

Leon has a 'Big Sister' who has qualified as a social worker. Leon is in Grade 6 and hoping to progress into Grade 5.

Lindo

Born on the 16th October 2006. Lindo was with us when he was small and left us when he was 2 1/2 years old. He was moved to another childrens home and was having a few problems so was moved to us until such time as another place can be found.

Lindo loves watching TV, and playing games with the other children. Lindo was in Grade 4 this year and hopefully will be able to go back to school in the new year.

Isiah

Born on the 1st September 2007. He is also a rugby player and plays for Harlequins Club.

He is a real little mischief and loves to tease. He loves watching TV and has a big moan if someone else changed the channel when he is watching. Isiah is in Grade 2 this year. Adopted at 6 weeks by Glynnis & Keith. The Little Brother.

Lucia

Born on the 9th February 2009. Our Care Givers daughter. Lucia is a loner and as much as she enjoys playing with the other children, is quite comfortable playing on her own and having a wonderful conversation.

She loves to read and spend time brushing Yo's hair. She will be in Grade 2 this year.

Aphile

Born on the 27th September 2012. A real little mischief who has been with us since he was 3 months old.

Left us on the 11th of December 2015 to stay permanently with his Granny and Sister and is doing very well.

Mbali

Born on the 16th November 2013. An attitude on legs. She has a great sense of humor and laughs very easily.

As much as Aphile and her loved to hate each other, she now misses him very much.

UPDATE: Mbali has been adopted by a wonderful single mommy.

Mike

Born on the 8th October 2013. A very happy boy who loves to move around the floor and bullies other children.

His big smile will charm you no matter who you are. He is a special needs child but is improving in strength every day.

UPDATE: Mike has moved onto another home which specialises in special needs children and is doing extremely well.

Themba

Born on the 5th January 2015. He had 2 teeth at 5 months and is a big boy. Has an amazing sence of humor and is loved by everyone in the house, which he takes advantage of, of course.

He has started to stand on his own and walk holding one finger, and of course thinks he is so clever. He is also awaiting his forever famly which we pray will happen soon.
